I made a pattern from my 1880's rag doll to make this doll.

The pattern is very unique it is a one piece body head and legs combination. The arms are separate, not the easiest pattern I have every made,  I was surprised at how well it went together. I oil painted the face copying the original face from  my 1880 doll. She now lives in Chicago with my daughter.
